Good morning Devils fans!  Not too much going on with Jersey’s team this morning, but NHL labor talks seem to be the buzz of the Internet.  Up later today on P&P, a piece from Tim Dillon that discusses the idea of trading defeseman Marek Zidlicky.

Here’s a great piece by Adrian Dater of SI.com comparing the 2004-05 lockout to the timeline of what has taken place so far in this year’s labor talks.  CLICK HERE to check it out.

Long-sought-after free agent Shane Doan says he will sign a contract before the September 15 deadline of the looming lockout.  There are still a lot of moving parts for his decision though.  More HERE.

Here’s something I can get on board with; the NHL is looking into more strongly enforcing the diving penalty.  Comcast New England has the story.

For your humor story of the day, a couple just got married that originally met at Nassau Coliseum, home of the New York Islanders.  One of their best friends got them a rather original, but frightening gift; a gift box replicating the Coliseum.  Have to check this out with a picture of it included.  See HERE.
