Evening ya’ll….hope you have a good weekend!  Some links before some relaxation…Marty Brodeur is not a good fantasy goalie apparently and Lou Lamoriello does not donate money to politicians.

There is a report floating around that details what NHL owners have donated to political parties and how much they have contributed as well.  Of the 23 American-based teams, four of them did not make any monetary deposits to politics.  One of those teams?  The New Jersey Devils.  I don’t think anyone is surprised that Lou Lamoriello is staying out of this.  He has always been one to keep to himself and not divulge much information.  So if he stands with the Republican side or the Democratic squad, we have no idea.  Check out what owners side with which party and how much they have donated by clicking HERE.

NHL.com’s fantasy rankings are out for the position of goaltender.  No surprise that guys like Henrik Lundqvist and Jonathan Quick are at the top, but do you know who ranks 30th out of the 32 starting goaltenders?  Yup…Martin Brodeur.  The only people he is ahead of?  James Reimer, Sergei Bobrovsky and Corey Crawford.  Unbelievable.  Yea…so…here’s the LINK.

The labor talks between the NHL and NHLPA have “broken off” after Friday’s offer from the union.  If I had to guess, that is not a great sign.  The Associated Press has more details HERE.

The Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL have re-upped with the Dallas Stars of the NHL and the Texas Stars of the AHL for next season.  Of course, the general manager of the Stars is a man we detailed earlier on Pucks & Pitchforks; Joe Nieuwendyk.  More info is available HERE.

To get a feel about how much the revenue stream would fluctuate with the different proposals from each side, check out this report from CBC to see how far apart the NHL and NHLPA in terms of dollars.
