The final two playoff spots in the Eastern Conference might come down to the New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, and New York Rangers.

Other Notes

Ilya Kovalchuk is expected to return from injury by the end of the regular season. The initial report on March 24 was that Kovy would miss 2-4 weeks. If you over-estimate to 5 weeks, he would be ready to return for the last game of the season on April 28 against the Rangers.

It’s not going to be easy for the New Jersey Devils down the stretch. They need to play their best hockey starting tomorrow night in Boston. Stay tuned for a preview of tomorrow night’s game.
