Must Win Game For Devils Against Toronto

The New Jersey Devils take the ice tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Prudentisl Center in Newark, New Jersey. This game is a must win for the Devils, if they drop this game they are entering into a world of trouble.

Big Story:

The Devils are desperate for a win tonight as they have fallen out of a playoff spot. If the Devils put a tally in the win column, they will move up in the standings. Toronto is coming off of a 5-3 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers Thursday night. Toronto is a good team, but their goaltending has been their Achilles heel. The Devils need to capitalize on that and have an offensive explosion.

Team Scope:

Devils - Newly acquired Steve Sullivan is making his return to New Jersey. Sullivan, who was acquired from the Phoenix Coyotes at the trade deadline, started his career in New Jersey 17 years ago. Maple Leafs - The Leafs lost Joffrey Lupul to injury. They started the season without Lupul, but were playing mediocre. Also, Thursday’s loss to the Flyers was the Leafs first regulation loss in nine games.

Injury Report:

Devils - Ilya Kovalchuk, IR;

Leafs - Joffrey Lupul is out, Clarke MacArthur and Leo Komarev are back from lower-body injuries
