New Jersey Devils 2013 NHL Draft Picks

After the draft lottery was announced, the New Jersey Devils will select ninth overall in the 2013 NHL Draft. However, the Devils are short on draft picks for this seasons draft being held at the Prudential Center. Let’s have a look at what selections the Devils have:

1st Round: Ninth Pick

2nd Round: 39th Pick

3rd Round: None, 70th pick was traded to Minnesota Wild

4th Round: 100th Pick

5th Round: None, 130th pick was traded to Buffalo Sabres

6th Round: 160th Pick

7th Round: None, 190th pick was traded to Winnipeg Jets

As you can see, the Devils only have four picks for 2013. However, the Devils do have the ninth pick overall. The last Devils pick in the top 10 was Adam Larsson in 2011. Larsson went fourth overall after the Devils won the lottery. The Devils finished 11th in the Eastern conference that year. The same as in 2013.

Whoever the Devils pick in the first round will get the loudest ovation and will be one of the most talked about in the draft.
