Steve hasn’t had much time to develop in the NHL (10 career games, 7 with Devils), he still has a lot of potential. Steve was impressive in college as he was a First Team All-Star in Clarkson University. He finished the season with his second straight 41 point season in Albany and continues to show promise. He is a player that just needs a shot to play more often in the NHL as he has never disappointed in the AHL. At a minimal contract of maybe 525 thousand dollars, it should be easy to keep him around.
