Rick Chere of the Star-Ledger and has broken the news that the New Jersey Devils have qualified Adam Henrique, Mike Sislo, Harri Pesonen, and Jacob Josefson. In doing so, the Devils have retained negotiating rights to these 4 players and now it is up to the player to accept the offer and return. They also will not become unrestricted free agents on July 2nd.

Henrique returning wasn’t a shock by anyone’s standards while I expected them to retain the services of Sislo and Pesonen. The fans may not want Josefson back but I agree with the decision. He is too young to have his fate determined with the team already.

Lou has once again noted that D’Agostini will not be returning and also that Jean-Sebastian Berube won’t be qualified either.

Lou has also thrown around the idea of moving up in the draft from their current pick at number 9. It would be interesting to see how they would alter their draft if they moved around.
