Poll: WhatIfSports New Jersey Devils 4-Team Playoff Proposal

Waiting for the start of the 2013-14 NHL season could be quite a tedious one. Now that the 2013 Prospect Camp is over, the only news Devils Fans will be fed with are any free agent signings which are hopefully in abundance soon.

In the past, I had done fun simulation tournaments with a website called WhatIfSports. This website lets you take any team from any year in their history and pit them against each other. For this particular one, the teams involved would be the 1994-95, 1999-00, and 2002-03 Stanley Cup Champion Teams and, as a wild card entry, the 2011-12 Devils team that made a valiant cup run.

The format of the tournament would be a round-robin stage followed by an elimination stage.

For example:

The 1994-95 SC Champs would play 1999-00, 11-12, 02-03 and same all around.

The standings would then be determined based off of record and Head-to-Head as a Tiebreaker. The second Tiebreaker would be Goals For.

Please vote below if you would be interested to see this because it would be a fun way to pass the time leading up to September when camp starts to roll around.

I have already simulated the 1994-95 @ 1999-00  so the first post will go up as soon as I get to type it all out and I see enough votes to see if I have a following.

Does This Series Sound Interesting?
