Daily Poll: Picking the Best RW Prospect

Just like C, the Devils only have 3 RW players listed in reserves.

Darcy Zajac

Darcy, brother of Travis, has spent his last two seasons exclusively with the Albany Devils. In 2011-12, Darcy had 8 goals and 16 assists in 66 games. Last season he played in 67 games and had 9 goals and 8 assists. Zajac looks to push himself into the discussion for promotion, although it seems highly unlikely. Mike Sislo (more on him later) will probably have first call and with Krys Barch already serving as a healthy scratch at RW it could be tough to get promoted there.

Cam Janssen

No point in talking points with Cam. He is an enforcer at heart. He does have the same amount of NHL goals as Martin Brodeur after all. Janssen will not win this competition, he won’t even come close. We treat every Devil the same though so here are his stats. He played 4 games with New Jersey and had 0 points. He also played 36 games in Albany and had 1 goal and 4 assists.

Mike Sislo

Sislo also spent the last two years exclusively in Albany. Sislo had fairly decent seasons the past two years also. Back when he still didn’t have a contract, I believed that they should bring him back and as long as he has another 20+ point season, he will probably be re-signed once his contract expires again next summer. In 2011-12, Sislo had 9 goals and 18 assists in 59 games. Last season he played in 61 games and had 13 goals and 13 assists.
