Devils Trade Barch, Are You Worried About Injuries (Poll)

Today, the New Jersey Devils held a routine practice in which they scrimmaged and reviewed their powerplay tactics.

Patrik Elias did not practice citing that he felt sore after Tuesday night’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center. It was not clear or not whether it is a serious injury or whether he would play in the Devils’ Season Opener on Thursday.

The New Jersey Devils also traded RW Krystofer Barch today to the Florida Panthers. The Devils traded Barch and a 2015 7th round pick and received a 2014 6th round pick and C Scott Timmins, a minor leaguer.

The Devils received the 2015 7th round pick in the trade with the St. Louis Blues in which they also acquired Matt D’Agostini.

This trade comes as no surprise as the Devils have been looking to unload a player after the signing of Damien Brunner.
