The New Jersey Devils had the day off today but Monday’s 3 PM roster deadline still looms. Cam Janssen is reportedly the only person on waivers right now and Keith Kinkaid was assigned to Albany. If Janssen clears waivers, the Devils will still need to reduce their roster two more spots and reach the magic 23 mark.
Today’s poll features 4 lines that I feel will be the starting lines on Thursday night. I think that the first line will stay the same and consist of Patrik Elias, Travis Zajac, and Jaromir Jagr. I still believe that, when healthy, this could be a dangerous line.
In my eyes, the second line hasn’t changed either and I still see it consisting with Ryane Clowe, Adam Henrique, and Michael Ryder. There is a lot of chemistry to be gained here and this could be a very strong line too.
I have the third line listed as Damien Brunner, Andrei Loktionov, and Dainius Zubrus. I have a feeling that Brunner will move to LW so Zubrus could go to RW and lighten the load at C. Zubrus could also play LW with Brunner at RW so those two could be interchangeable.
The last line could consist of Rostislav Olesz, Ryan Carter, and Steve Bernier. I have a strong feeling Olesz will get the spot over Mattias Tedenby as Tedenby was plagued with injuries this preseason. Tedenby could be a healthy scratch to start the season.
