Tampa Bay Lightning vs New Jersey Devils – Game 1 of 3 – October 29, 2013

Tonight, the Tampa Bay Lightning will be visiting the Prudential Center to take on the New Jersey Devils. The Devils are coming of a spectacular win over the Boston Bruins and will be looking to gain momentum going into the weekend when they face the Flyers.

Martin Brodeur will take the net tonight with Cory Schneider on IR and Keith Kinkaid will be backing him up fresh off his return to Albany.

Peter Harrold will be scratch once again and will give way to Mark Fayne and Eric Gelinas. This is the obvious choice due to the win on Saturday and all eyes will be on Gelinas once again. Most of the defense has performed well so far, so look for that trend to continue.

Jacob Josefson and Mattias Tedenby are scratches on the forwards side and the rest of the lines at forward will look exactly the same. The Devils have been playing exceptionally well on the powerplay as of late and they will need that time of offense if they want to top this highly-skilled Lightning team.

Marek Zidlicky will look to have a wonderful all around performance tonight and add to his team-leading points and assists totals. This defense is looking considerably well the past few games with the addition of Gelinas and they could be looking at a favorable unit to move forward with.

Patrik Elias will be playing in his 1,100 career NHL regular season game while Dainius Zubrus is playing in his 1,099 NHL regular season game.
