New Jersey Devils Practice Notes: Halloween Edition

The New Jersey Devils practice today was a very hard skate with the next game being on Saturday.

Cory Schneider practiced today and was quoted saying he is feeling well enough to play one of the games this weekend. Pete DeBoer ensured that that would not happen unless Schneider is 100% healthy.

I think it is safe to say Martin Brodeur will be starting in goal on Saturday. Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Wild is the game in question at the moment. Schneider is eligible to come off of IR tomorrow.

Keith Kinkaid sat on the bench during the drills portion but then participated in the lap skating. Now that’s commitment.

The Devils put out mainly the same pairings as usual:

Eric Gelinas was hit in the mouth with the puck today but did not leave the ice early.
