Keith Kinkaid Remains Hot, Albany Remains Hot

First off, I have made a huge blunder. The Albany Devils website listed as the next game after this one in an advertisement as Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving when in reality, those are the next home games. Albany has games Friday and Saturday this week and then are off until Thanksgiving.

Back to the game.

Keith Kinkaid registered his 6th straight win as the Devils picked up another win, 3-0, against the Hartford Wolf Pack. He registered his second shutout of the season, both coming against the Wolf Pack. Kinkaid stopped 24 shots to improve to 7-1-1. He also joins Jeff Frazee and Mike McKenna as the only goaltenders in Albany history to win 6 straight games (Albany Devils Official Site).

After a scoreless first, the Devils scored twice to go into the third period, 2-0. The Devils were 8-0-0-0 going into the game when leading after 2 periods and that was increased to 9-0-0-0. Stefan Matteau scored his second goal of the season to open the scoring with assists from Tim Sestito (4) and Joe Whitney (9). Reid Boucher continued his strong season with his 6th goal of the season. He was helped by Mike Sislo (2) and Kelly Zajac (2).

Brandon Burlon completed the scoring in the third period with his first goal of the season. He was assisted by Whitney (10), who has 17 points this season through 17 games, and Boucher (7), who has 13 points through 17 games.

You can view highlights of the game here, with interviews from Head Coach Rick Kowalsky and Kinkaid.
