New Jersey Devils (9-10-5) Vs Carolina Hurricanes (9-10-5)

TV - MSG Plus
Radio - WCBS 880 AM

Season Series:
This is the first game between the two teams this season, but last season the Hurricanes won two of three meetings.

Big Story:
The Devils and Hurricanes both have the same record this season and are tied in the Metropolitan Division with 23 points. They play each other twice in the next three days and winning both could swing either team back into playoff contention.

Carolina Hurricanes:
The Hurricanes are coming off of a big win against the Ottawa Senators on Sunday. After going down 1-0, the Canes scored three unanswered goals in the second and added an empty net goal in the third. Cam Ward stopped 35 shots for his third win of the season.

New Jersey Devils:
The Devils are coming off of two straight losses to the San Jose Sharks and Winnipeg Jets. The Devils need to give more scoring support to both goaltenders who are playing extremely well this season. Martin Brodeur will get his third straight start tonight, but I think he needs a day off, especially after the incident in San Jose.

Injury Report:
Devils - Stephen Gionta (ankle), Adam Larsson (lower body), and Anton Volchenkov (lower body) are all questionable for tonight. Ryane Clowe (head) and Bryce Salvador (broken foot) are both out.

Hurricanes - Alex Semin (concussion) and Anton Khudobin (lower body) are both on injured reserve.

Lets go Devils!
