Preview: New Jersey Devils Vs Tampa Bay Lightning

New Jersey Devils (12-15-6) Vs Tampa Bay Lightning (18-10-3)

TV - MSG Plus, Sun Sports
Radio - WFAN 660 AM and 101.9 FM

Season Series:
The Devils defeated the Lightning by a score of 2-1 on October 29th at the Prudential Center. The Devils held on to a late one goal lead as well as only giving up four shots in the third period.

Team Scope:
Lightning - The last time these two teams faced off Steven Stamkos was still on the ice before breaking his leg. His absence will help the Devils hold their offensive numbers, but Martin St. Louis has 30 points in 31 games this season and is on pace for another phenomenal season.

Devils - This is the first game of a three game home stand for the Devils. Aside from the first period of yesterday’s loss, the Devils dominated the Penguins. If they play the same way they did in the last two periods they will not lose.

Cory Schneider allowed three goals in the first 14:40 last night and will most likely get a rest tonight.

Injury Report:
Devils - Ryane Clowe (head) has been cleared to play, but may not be in the lineup for a few games until he is conditioned. Bryce Salvador (foot) is practicing, but will not play. Stephen Gionta (ankle), Ryan Carter (leg), and Adam Larsson (lower-body) are on Injured Reserve. Peter Harrold (foot) is out indefinitely.

Lightning - Keith Aulie (upper body), Victor Hedman (lower body), Brian Lee (knee), Ryan Malone (lower body), Tom Pyatt (broken collarbone), and Steven Stamkos (broken right tibia) are all out for the Lightning tonight.
