Steve Santini Scores in 2013 World Junior Hockey Championships Prelims

Team USA moved to 3-0 in the Preliminary Rounds of the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championships when they obliterated Team Germany 8-0.

After wins over the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and now Germany, Team USA will play Team Canada on New Year’s Eve to finish off preliminary play.

Seven different players scored today in a game that saw Team USA register 6 powerplay goals.

New Jersey Devils prospect Steve Santini had a power-play goal in the winning effort. Santini currently has 2 goals and 4 assists in 13 games at Boston College University (Hockey DB).

Vince Hlnostroza (Chicago Blackhawks/Notre Dame) had 2 goals and 2 assists while Will Butcher (Colorado Avalanche/Denver U) also tallied a goal.

Riley Barber (Washington Capitals/Miami U) found the back of the net once while Matt Grzelcyk (Boston Bruins/Boston U) had a goal and 2 assists.

Hudson Fasching (Los Angeles Kings/Minnesota University) and Nic Kerdiles (Anaheim Ducks/Wisconsin U) both got the scoring started in this game.

Team USA has definitely been able to have their way in the scoring department during this tournament and they can really cement their status going into the Quarterfinals with a win against Team Canada.
