Dallas Stars @ New York Rangers – The Stars are coming off of a loss to the New Jersey Devils last night and travel to MSG to take on the Rangers. The Rangers could potentially jump into 3rd place in the Metropolitan Division with a win tonight. New York leads the season series 1-0 and can finish off the series with a sweep tonight. The Stars are trying to keep pace in the Western Conference Wild Card race and currently sit 6 points behind the Minnesota Wild for the second spot.

Toronto Maple Leafs @ Washington Capitals – The Leafs are coming off their third straight loss and look to take back their Wild Card spot tonight against the Washington Capitals. The Capitals could also fall back into the Wild Card race with a loss and wins coming from a few teams tonight. The second game of 3 has the Maple Leafs holding the 1-0 lead this season.

Carolina Hurricanes @ Columbus Blue Jackets – This Metropolitan Division matchup has Carolina trying to win their 6th-straight win and possibly take 3rd place in the division. They are currently in a 3-way tie for the last Wild Card spot. Columbus sits in 7th in the Wild Card race, 3 points behind the Devils. This second game of 5 for the season has Columbus holding the 1-0 lead so far.

New York Islanders @ Colorado Avalanche – The Islanders are looking for their 3rd-straight win tonight as they travel out west to Colorado. They stand pretty far out of a playoff spot, 9th in the Wild Card race with 39 points. The Avalanche are in 3rd in the Central Division and have a 5 point lead over the Minnesota Wild. This is the first of two matchups between the teams this season.

Pittsburgh Penguins @ Edmonton Oilers – The Penguins and Oilers will get together tonight for the last time this season with Pittsburgh holding the 1-0 lead this season. The Penguins are beyond comfortable in the Metropolitan Division with a 15 point lead over the 2nd-place Philadelphia Flyers. Edmonton is last in the Western Conference with 33 points.

St. Louis Blues @ Vancouver Canucks – The Blues can take sole possession of first place in the Central Division tonight with the Blackhawks getting the night off tonight. The Blues would have to win their 8th-straight game and beat the Canucks for the first time this season. Vancouver won the first meeting in October with a score of 3-2 in overtime. This is the 2nd of 3. The Canucks currently hold the top spot in the Wild Card race with 55 points and are only 4 points behind the Los Angeles Kings for 3rd place in the Pacific Division.
