The New Jersey Devils and Dallas Stars will meet for the last time this season and the only time at the American Airlines Center.

Cory Schneider will be given the opportunity in net which means Martin Brodeur will have some complaining to do after the game the Devils will try to break the recent skid they have been on lately.

Schneider is coming off a loss to the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night. Schneider gave up 2 goals on 24 shots.

Pete DeBoer apparently has solved the defensive crisis and that will in turn cripple the offensive crisis. According to Tom Gulitti, DeBoer will be dressing 7 defensemen again with Jacob Josefson (you know, the guy Jaromir Jagr was really impressed with) will be a healthy scratch.

The Devils have clearly been falling apart this week. As David mentioned in last night’s article about Brodeur, this team is looking like it is about to implode. Patrik Elias mentions that players are being selfish, Brodeur is practically asking for a trade, Jaromir Jagr says someone is playing well who then gets scratched (in one of the many moves that DeBoer has done that basically directly contradicts what Jagr has been saying).

This locker room is falling apart and the Devils are now 13th in the conference and in 7th in both races for the playoffs. The last thing this team needs is a locker room divided.

It almost sounds like they need a coach to wrangle them all up and act like a team.

Most of the time it doesn’t seem they have one of those either.
