Is Adam Henrique Turning It Around?

Last season, Adam Henrique had a disappointing 2012-13 campaign and is slowly making a turnaround this season.

Henrique has 16 goals and 13 assists this season after posting only 11 goals and 5 assists in the lockout-shortened season. Henrique posted a 2-goal effort in yesterday’s win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Henrique is looking to bounce back to his 2011-12 form where he had 51 points in the regular season alone.

For Henrique, anything short of 20+ goals and 20+ assists is considered a failure based on the high potential he showed in their Stanley Cup Finals run.

Last night, Adam went back to playing at LW while Patrik Elias went back to his C position. The combo worked out well as Elias also picked up 2 assists and tried to feed Henrique at the end of the game to give him the hat trick but Elias was eventually credited with the empty net goal.

Getting Henrique back to his 2011-12 form is imperative for the Devils’ scoring troubles. Yesterday was a great start for the team as they are trying to avoid missing the playoffs for the 3rd time in 4 seasons.

While Henrique isn’t on a line with Ryane Clowe and Michael Ryder, Henrique has still found positive production in his first game back.

The Devils are back in action tomorrow afternoon against the New York Islanders. Stay here for complete coverage of that game.
