Devils (25-22-13) at Islanders (23-30-8)

Last 10: Devils (5-3-2); Islanders (3-6-1)
This is the third of five games between the two teams this season. Both teams split the games with the Islanders winning 4-3 in a shootout on Oct. 4 and the Devils winning 2-1 on Dec. 28. The road team won both of the games this season.
Both teams are coming off wins on Thursday night. Although the Islanders are not exactly in the playoff hunt, they could hurt the Devils chances with a win on Saturday. The Devils need every win they can get, especially against bottom-dwelling teams like the Islanders.
Devils: Martin Brodeur is making his first start in net since the Stadium Series debacle on Jan. 26. Brodeur currently holds a 2.56 GAA and a subpar .899 SV%.
Jaromir Jagr is searching for his 700 career goal after scoring 699 on Thursday night against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Once he scores, he will be just the seventh player in NHL history to reach the milestone.
Islanders: Without team captain and superstar John Tavares, the Islanders managed to pull out a 5-4 overtime win against the Toronto Maple Leafs Thursday. Michael Grabner scored two short-handed goals just seconds apart.
The Islanders are out of Tavares after he suffered a torn MCL and meniscus during the Olympics. The Devils will be without forward Damien Brunner who left Thursday’s game with a lower-body injury. Bryce Salvador hurt his sternum on Thursday as well. Jacob Josefson and Anton Volchenkov will take their places.
