Brodeur, Avery Exchange Pleasantries After Dancing With The Stars

Yesterday, Martin Brodeur told Randy Miller of NJ.Com that former nemesis, Sean Avery, “embarrassed himself” on hit television show, Dancing With The Stars.

“What more could he do to embarrass himself?” Brodeur said with a chuckle. “There it is!” – Via Randy Miller, NJ.Com

As I am sure most of you know, Brodeur and Avery do not see eye-to-eye. Back in the 2008 playoffs when the Devils lost to the New York Rangers 4-1, Avery agitated the legendary goaltender by standing in front of him and waving his stick in Brodeur’s face. This tactic had never been used before and has since been made illegal, but it made the rivalry worse.

One day following Brodeur’s comments, Avery fired back with his stupid “fatso” insult. He had originally posted on Twitter, but has since removed the tweet. Here is what it said:

Woke up beside a #Supermodel to hear the news that #Fatso made a comment…..@DancingABC equals Thousands of $ for charity.

Again, that tweet has since been removed, but he did make one more comment indirectly directed toward Brodeur, or better known as a sub tweet.

That is of course most likely directed to the situation where Brodeur had an affair with his sister-in-law, who he later married. But leave it to Avery, the classless act, to make this personal. You would think that six years after the 2008 playoffs incident, the two parties would forgive, forget, and move on; however, it does not look like that is going to happen any time soon.
