Panthers: The Florida Panthers are eliminated from playoff contention. They sit 20 points out with only eight games remaining. They have a chance to play spoiler tonight if they beat the Devils like they did in Florida on March 14.

Devils: The Devils are not looking like they will make the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs due to 10 shootout losses this season. They have lost in the shootout in the past two games. They need to capitalize on a struggling Panthers team who is 1-5 in their past six games.

Martin Brodeur will get the start in net tonight. Defenseman Adam Larsson has been called up from Albany, but it is not clear whether he will be in the lineup or not.

Panthers forwards Jonathan Huberdeau (upper-body), Tomas Kopecky (concussion), and Aleksander Barkov (knee) are out. Defensemen Tom Gilbert (sports hernia) and Alex Petrovic (upper-body) are out, and goaltender Roberto Luongo (upper-body) is also out.
Devils defenseman Jon Merrill and forward Stephen Gionta both got injured in the game against the Islanders on Saturday, their status is unknown. Defensemen Bryce Salvador (groin) and Anton Volchenkov (lower-body) are questionable. Forward Tim Sestito (concussion) is also questionable.
