Tom Gulitti broke big news on Twitter just minutes ago:

This is huge news for the Devils. Jaromir Jagr had an exceptional season and posted 67 points (24 G, 43 A) at 42+ years old. Jagr leads the team in many stats including plus/minus with +16. There is a 5-way tie for second but it is only at +3.

Early, unconfirmed rumors are pegging the deal around 5-6 million which is a pretty hefty price tag, but worth it if he brings the same production.

Jagr will represent the Czech Republic at the IIHF World Championships.

The Devils will now look to priority #2 in re-signing Cory Schneider to a long-term contract. Schneider currently has one year left on his contract but the Devils have no intention on letting it come down to the wire, especially after Zach Parise and David Clarkson left under similar circumstances.

This is the first of many roster moves to come once the NHL Offseason officially kicks into gear.
