In preparation for the NHL to release the full 2014-15 NHL schedule, the NHL has released all 30 home openers and that means everyone started to put the puzzle together on a few of the first games for every team.

The Devils will open up their 2014-15 campaign on October 9th against the Philadelphia Flyers in Philly at the Wells Fargo Center. They will then go to Sunrise, Florida to take on the Florida Panthers in their home opener on the 11th. The Devils will not open at the Prudential Center until October 18th and will have the latest home opener in the league. They will be opening against the San Jose Sharks.

Once again, the Devils will start the season mainly on the road just like last season where they had a dreadful start to the season. They almost immediately went on a Canada road trip and were only second to the New York Rangers in road games to start the opening month.

There are gaps to fill between the 11th and 18th and the NHL will fill those gaps tomorrow afternoon.

Opening night will look like this:

San Jose Sharks vs Los Angeles Kings
Philadelphia Flyers vs Boston Bruins
Montreal Canadiens vs Toronto Maple Leafs
Vancouver Canucks vs Calgary Flames

Stay tuned to Pucks and Pitchforks for more schedule news tomorrow.
