This is going to be a new series that will run a month-by-month breakdown of the New Jersey Devils 2013-14 season. We will break down everything from game-by-game analysis to the players of the month. The main source that will be used is ESPN.com but there is room for other sources to be used such as Hockey DB, Cap Geek, and NHL.com.
A single month could also end up being broken into two parts for the larger months of the season. The first part will most likely be something close to a game-by-game recap of the 2013-14 season for New Jersey. We will then break it down even more to go into which players had a great month and which ones had a not-so-great month. The two competing goalies, Martin Brodeur and Cory Schneider, will be looked out more in-depth as each month passed.
Thanks to ESPN, there is also room to expand the series into something greater such as success vs. specific teams and who succeeded and failed against rivals and inter-conference teams alike.
If there is anything else that should be included into the analysis, comment below and tell us what we should add. We want this to be as in-depth as possible so feedback is always appreciated.
As always stay tuned to Pucks and Pitchforks for this series to materialize as well as more content to build up to Training Camp for the New Jersey Devils.
