New Jersey Devils Links Around the Web: August 22nd, 2014

There hasn’t been a ton of news coming from the New Jersey Devils but the opinion pieces and analysis posts keep on coming. Pucks and Pitchforks along with In Lou We Trust are both on top of bringing the New Jersey Devils content to the fans in the dog days of summer.

Here is a quick look at what is on the web regarding the New Jersey Devils:

First, Gerard Lionetti spends Throwback Thursday reminiscing the Game 5 winner against the New York Rangers scored by Ryan Carter. It was a great moment that put Rangers fans on their heels and set up the Devils to rock The Rock with Game 6.

Next, Brian Franken looks at the Devils prospects and determines their NHL Equivalencies. This is a great article for all of the statistical nuts and in-depth analysis pieces.

Ryan Stimson concludes his 2013-14 Devils Passing Analysis series with looking at how possession affected the Devils and how it affected their results. I recommend this entire series to all of the statistical readers out there.

Here on Pucks and Pitchforks, I continued the 2013-14 Devils Recap. See how October ended in Part 2 and also take a look at who were the Top and Lowly Performers of the month of October.

Yesterday, I entertained the idea of an International Champions League that the NHL has been considering to participate in. There are plenty of kinks to work out, but I think the Champions League could work for all parties involved.

Stay tuned to all of the Devils Army blogs that cover the New Jersey Devils to get you through the month of August.
