NHL.com released their Top 275 Overall Players for the 2014-15 Fantasy Hockey season. Cory Schneider was placed at #10 among players in his position and 55th overall.
Interestingly enough, Corey Crawford of the Chicago Blackhawks landed one spot ahead of him at 9th, but ranked 59th overall. Crawford received votes of 10th, 9th, and 13th for the position while Schneider received votes of 12th, 10th, and 9th. Antti Niemi of the San Jose Sharks came in at 11th and received votes of 14th, 11th, and 10th. He ranked 66th overall.
Jaromir Jagr was the next New Jersey Devil to be on the list at 100th overall. He had received votes of 127th, 88th, and 89th. Derek Stepan of the New York Rangers stands at 99th, while Jason Pominville of the Minnesota Wild is 101st.
Mike Cammalleri landed at #143 overall and received votes of 135th, 151st, and 149th. Ales Hemsky of the Dallas Stars is one spot ahead of him while Andrei Markov of the Montreal Canadiens is one spot behind.
Patrik Elias was not far behind as he is ranked 160th overall. Elias received votes of 150th, 148th, and 199th. Dougie Hamilton of the Boston Bruins is 159th, while Dan Boyle of the Rangers is one spot behind.
Marek Zidlicky was just able to break the Top 200 as he landed at 197th. With votes of 194th, 204th, and 204th, Zidlicky finished just ahead of Jack Johnson of the Columbus Blue Jackets and just behind Jake Muzzin of the Los Angeles Kings.
Travis Zajac and Eric Gelinas landed at 223rd and 228th respectively. The votes for Zajac were very varied as he received 268th, 207th, and 187th. Some weren’t too convinced on Gelinas either as he had votes of 227th, 175th, and 272nd.
It is not surprising that the New Jersey Devils only have 7 players in the Top 275. The Devils aren’t really known to be a team that lights up the stat sheet. They grind out wins (sometimes too much for their own good) and find wins in other ways.
