Finally got my computer working well enough to get back to posting. Let me discuss the mess that is the New Jersey Devils right now. They have fallen into the dark depths in which so many other teams already occupy, that being the mundane world of mediocrity. They could once be considered an elite team, but when you stop scoring and put the entire work load on a few skaters to fill the void than you will find no other result but a loss.
Last night was no different when they went up against the Buffalo Sabres. Buffalo is one of [...]

Another Putrid Effort
Key’s For Devils To Stop Skid
Sorry for this being the first post in a little while, but a slow internet connection was prohibiting me from accessing the site like I would have like to. Anyway, since I last wrote, the Devils had lost to the Coyotes. It now appears that was the first loss of this now three game slide they are on. I wrote that they are going down a slippery slope and quickly need to rectify it before it gets out of hand. Well, that clearly did not happen and the offense has gone into hiding. In this three game losing streak, NJ [...]
Devils Suck It Up vs. ‘Yotes
I took some time to write about this game simply because of how mad I was after its conclusion. Well my hopes of time passing by and feeling better about things have proved to be futile. This game plain and simple pissed me off more than any other this year. I can deal with Jersey getting flat out-played in a game, but they dominated the Coyotes in terms of shots and scoring chances through out the game. When you outshoot a team 15-1 in the second period, only to be tied once it is over, says something was done wrong.
After [...]

Team USA named Devils Captain Jamie Langenbrunner their own captain for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. This was the best choice by far for Team USA, as they have gone in a different direction than the last time they competed for gold. Langenbrunner, Chris Drury and Brian Rafalski are the only returning Olympians from the 2006 Turin games. The reason I say Langenbrunner was the best choice as Captain is the fact that he has shown he can shoulder the load of being a captain on a top NHL team. I understand Chris Drury is the captain of the [...]

Its game # 42 for New Jersey and #43 for the Tampa Bay Lightning as the two face each other tonight in Newark. For the Devils, they will be seeking out points 62 and 63 and their third straight win. The Lightning lost their last game in Buffalo 5-3 after falling into a 3-0 hole early and on the year as a whole; they are 16-16-10 with 42 overall points. These two have had very evenly matched contests thus far, as every game has been decided by one goal, but the Devils won all three of them.
It was just the [...]
