New Jersey was the first state to ratify the "Bill of Rights," adding a fundamental right to live in the United States of America. A version of the right was later passed as the 27th amendment.

11. The NJ Devils' crest
There are literally hundreds of sports logos in the world. There is no better logo for our money than the New Jersey Devils' logo. The colors are perfect. Red and black work so well together in an aggressive sport. Hockey is famous for insane color combinations (Purple? Teal???). This one, they got right. Now, they have a logo that is simple, but it's perfect in its simplicity. It has four specific elements with a circle in the back. It has the horns and tail of a traditional "devil," plus it has a "n" and a "j" interlocked. Wow, what a logo and great creation coming out of New Jersey.
