Toronto Maple Leafs 3, New Jersey Devils 2 (SO)

James van Riemsdyk scored his 17th goal of the season with a power-play goal and scored the winning shootout goal to earn 1st star and lead the Maple Leafs to a season-series clinching win.

Jonathon Bernier stopped a whopping 36 shots as the Devils piled on the shots for the third straight game and finished with a .947 save percentage to earn his 14th win of the season and second star of the game.

Devils defenseman Andy Greene earned the third star. He had 1 assist, 3 hits and over 30 minutes of ice time during the game.

2 players tallied two points with 1 coming from each team. Ryane Clowe scored his first goal of the season and also tallied an assist while Phil Kessel assisted on both Toronto goals.

Toronto broke their 4-game losing streak to jump back up to 3rd in the wild card race. New Jersey remains in a tie for 4th in the wild card but this time it is with the Ottawa Senators at 48 points. The Philadelphia Flyers and Detroit Red Wings are tied for the top wild card spot at 50 points.

The last game between the two teams will be played on March 23rd.
