The New Jersey Devils have major decisions to make this offseason with free agents. It’s time to cut the dead weight and restore glory days.

This is a big offseason for the New Jersey Devils organization.  A number off contracts are coming off of the books on July 1 and they are due to shed some bad deals and players; thus creating precious salary cap space for the 2016-17 season.  The main problem that the Devils have had the past few seasons is scoring, finishing last in the NHL this season with just 2.2 goals per game.

It’s hard to score when your team simply isn’t built to score.  Outside of Palmieri, Henrique and Cammalleri (when healthy), the Devils have no secondary scoring.  It’s pathetic, especially when your highest paid player hasn’t had a 50-point season since 09-10. Looking at you, Travis Zajac.  Let’s put it this way, when Tyler Kennedy, is playing on your power play, your team sucks. It’s time to get rid of players who are aging and not producing.  This is a business, and the Devils need to start treating it like one.  Time to trim the fat.

Here are 7 Devils free agents who should NOT be resigned.
