On today’s New Jersey Devils Daily, a big overtime win against the Minnesota Wild, Penn State signs a Devils prospect and the team working with a great organization.

The New Jersey Devils beat the Minnesota Wild on Monday night. The game was anything but pretty. Pucks and Pitchforks tells you why the Devils have to learn how to win that way in order to stay in contention. The Devils won with some lucky goals and a beautiful play in overtime. They will have to continue to play this way if the team wants to stay at the top of the Metropolitan Division.

Also, obviously, Adam Henrique was stellar last night. He clearly heard the message after he was demoted to the fourth line, and responded in kind.

New Jersey Devils prospect Aaron Talvitie has officially committed to Penn State. The Finnish product has been playing very well this season for his Junior team. He apparently committed to the Nittany Lions back in May, prior to the Devils taking him in the sixth round of the draft. This makes it official. The Devils won’t be seeing him for at least three years.

Kevin Allen with USA Today gave ten things we hate about this NHL season. One of those is cancer. Obviously, the league has been hit with the disease hard this season. Devils forward Brian Boyle is one of the main reasons we hate the disease in the NHL. He was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia before training camp, and missed a majority of the Devils first quarter. But Boyle is a fighter, and he’s back with the team being the net front presence they need.
