The New Jersey Devils had one of the most fun seasons in recent memory. Some of their wins were exhilarating, and something we haven’t seen in six years. Here are the five biggest of the 2017-18 season.

The New Jersey Devils recorded 44 wins in the regular season. The team hadn’t won this much since the 2011-12 season, not ironically also the last time the Devils made the playoffs.

During those 44 wins, the Devils had some crazy ups and downs. Just about everything possible happened this season. A Hart Trophy candidate went from zero to hero in Taylor Hall. Nico Hischier went from rookie to legitimate first-line center. I mean, Brian Boyle fought cancer. The storylines go for days around this team.

There was so much growth with this team over an 82 game season, it’s hard to pinpoint five that were the most important, but we know Devils fans don’t take that from us. So we looked through the 82 game season, and picked the five most important wins of the season.

On quick note: we did not pick the postseason win. Obviously, that would make the list, but for argument’s sake let’s keep this to only regular season matchups. With that said, let’s get to the fifth game on this list.
