The New Jersey Devils have a lot of questions surrounding their 2018-19 season. So many things had to go right to make the playoffs, could they conceivably happen again?

It was a heck of a season for the New Jersey Devils last season. So many great things happened, including the first every MVP season in franchise history, a plethora of young talent making their mark on the NHL and the Devils first playoff appearance in six seasons.

It just seemed like every single thing had to go right for the Devils to make the postseason last year, and they did. Of course, it’s easy to say that now. Lots of things worked out, but not everything did. There were major injuries to key players. There were terrible slumps that came without explanation. Also, there was a point where it seemed like the team was playing against their opponent and instant replay.

The Devils did not do a lot this offseason. In fact, their lack of moves actually caused more questions than answers. We’re about a month away from playing real hockey (well, preseason hockey). So, let’s go over the ten biggest questions surrounding the Devils as we head into the season.
