The New Jersey Devils revealed their new third jersey for the upcoming season, and surprisingly the feedback in mostly positive. This is a surprising turn of events, especially on Twitter.

After months of speculation, the New Jersey Devils didn’t keep their fans waiting long. The team sent out a tease to a new jersey concept at 11:32 this morning explaining something with a third color was coming. I figured at this point it would be a few weeks of sweating it out before a new jersey would be revealed. Nope.

Almost three hours to the minute the first tweet was sent, we get this. It’s a brand new jersey the Devils will wear four times this season.

The jersey concept is much different than most of us expected. For one, it seems like only the Winnipeg Jets wear white at home, so the odds of Adidas picking a white jersey for the Devils was a longshot, but a good one at that.

The jerseys look sleek, clean and interesting. The red and green concept was the obvious choice for a third Devils jersey. However, going with black would have been really creative in my opinion. Seeing what Adidas could have done with that will always have us wondering.

Either way, Devils fans are really happy with this decision. There’s not a lot of people against this jersey. This is very surprising. Devils fans don’t often completely agree on anything. Half the fanbase is ecstatic with how this offseason went, and how the Devils avoided overpaying free agents. The other half wants Shero at the stake for doing nothing.

Yet, here we are, as a Devils family agreeing on this new piece of Devils news. Just look at the official Pucks and Pitchforks poll. As of 10:30 p.m. only two percent of you hate it. 60% called it the perfect choice. Perfect!

It seems like the Devils made all of you happy with this decision. Do you disagree? Start the conversation on the P&P Twitter or Facebook page.
