Taylor Hall is the New Jersey Devils first ever reigning MVP. What must he do to win back-to-back Hart Trophies?

Taylor Hall is a gift for the New Jersey Devils. Every single game, it seems like he does something amazing. As we all know, it didn’t start out that way, but after watching him last season, it’s safe to say the one-for-one deal was the best in Devils history. Well, maybe except for Trevor Kidd.

This week, Mike Morreale spoke to Hall’s Devils teammate, who all believe he has a great chance to win back-to-back MVP awards. Just look at what his linemate Nico Hischier has to say about playing with him on a nightly basis.

"“He wants to make the best out of every shift and does something on every shift. It doesn’t have to always be offensively, but just little things that are good for the team.”"

Hall could very much win back-to-back MVP awards, but just doing what he did last year will not be enough. There were a special set of circumstances that allowed the Devils star to take home the hardware. If he is going to win it again this year, he’s going to have to be even better than he was last year.

There are a variety of ways Hall’s season can go where he ends up back in Las Vegas at the end of the year. These five circumstances would end with Hall seeing himself back on the stage to accept the Hart Trophy.
