5. Single Season Wins Record: 48

This one isn’t talked about as much as the career records, but it should be right up there. The fact that Brodeur won a ridiculous 48 games in net during the 2006-07 season is ridiculous. Sure, this record was tied by Braden Holtby during the 2015-16 season, but don’t let that take away how good it is.

This allows Devils fans to stop those who claim the only reason Brodeur is in the record books is because he was a compiler. We forget just how great Brodeur actually was when it was happening. Brodeur took full advantage of the new NHL rules after the lockout in 2004. From 2005 to 2008, Brodeur won 135 games. It was a ridiculous stretch, but 2006-07 was the peak of Brodeur’s powers.

This was the second year after the end of the Devils great era. The Scotts were no longer there, and the season started off poor. Brodeur went 4-4 in the first eight games. Then, he exploded. He went 37-13-7 from December to the end of the season. He was getting points on most nights, and was single handedly keeping a new-look Devils team in games. They replaced defense with offense thanks to a young Zach Parise. Brodeur rode that to his best season wins wise.
