New Jersey Devils A True Destination For Players To Seriously Consider
With the transaction of the P.K. Subban trade being finalized on Saturday, the New Jersey Devils have become even more attractive. That being said, if you are a free agent like Jake Gardiner, Joonas Donskoi, and Gustav Nyquist you’re more than likely to consider looking at playing in New Jersey than before. These free agents should be thrilled to play with Taylor Hall, Nico Hischier, Jack Hughes, Jesper Bratt, Jesper Boqvist, and PK SUBBAN!
Jake Gardiner will want an excellent supporting cast of players that have the skill, talent, and the chemistry to help him succeed. Over the years, free agency hasn’t been very good to New Jersey. Boy, would this bolster more internal areas in the Devils lineup.
This kind of pitch to current and new season ticket holders should be a cake walk. The product on the ice for the 2019-20 is a lot faster, more lethal in scoring, stronger defensively, even more agile, and the excitement factor right now from the summer solstice to the autumnal equinox is off the charts via social media with the P.K. trade. The season ticket sales should be shooting big time now that fans know who is on the current roster. Plus, Ray Shero knows what he is doing building a winner.
Today has been a big key driver to possibly force the hand of possible free agents, and possible trades to occur in the favor of Ray “The Heist” Shero. Former Devils reporter Tom Gulitti did not mince words when talking about the trade.
"Just my opinion, but P.K. Subban to New Jersey is a home run for them. Exactly what they need on multiple levels."
This is the best defender the Devils have had since Scott Niedermayer. What Niedermayer brought to us in the glory days was his skating ability, offensive skill, and the ability to pass the puck up the ice to set up quick breakouts and odd man rushes.
Subban has the skill and ability to quarterback a power play, and he is dangerous every time when he is on the ice. With his ability to run a power play opposing players need to be aware when the Devils are on the power play. When the Devils are setting up their scheme as they have multiple weapons on the ice they can open lanes for PK Subban to use his missile launching slap shot.
This team whether a free agent signs or not with the New Jersey Devils will know that they are in for a big season. As a long time Devils fan I expect every game to be extra loud, passionate, and probably feeling like a party scene at times.
