The New Jersey Devils superstar hasn’t played in an NHL game in the calendar year of 2019 and everyone is anxious to see Taylor Hall back out there.

The New Jersey Devils posted a video that made every Devils fan super excited to see, especially in the dry season that is mid-August. It was a video of Taylor Hall doing some summer skating. It is taking place in Nova Scotia with other NHL players including Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon. This is a great sight as far as Devils fans are concerned because it has been a long time since they’ve seen Hall skate.

He hasn’t played since late December due to a knee injury, and it played a major role in New Jersey falling way out of it and missing the playoffs. He had 37 points in 33 games and was well on his way to another MVP caliber season for New Jersey. It all worked out in the end as the horrible season was rewarded with a draft lottery win, but the Devils are hoping that with Hall being healthy and all of the additions they will be right back in the mix this year.

Teddy Purcell went on the Spittin’ Chiclets Podcast and mentioned a few interesting things about Taylor Hall’s offseason. He mentioned that Hall joined the Adam Oates Sports Group company which is a training program that helps out hockey players. He also mentioned that Hall was a bit insecure about his knee injury but he now has the green light to go all out and that his goal is to play in all 82 games to help the Devils get back into the playoffs.

It sounds like Hall’s offseason is going okay now and that he will be completely ready for opening night, and hopefully having a Taylor Hall-level season. The Devils will need that elite level production from Hall and that could really make them a playoff contender with this new-look roster that they are going to ice. Hopefully, Jack Hughes hits the ground running and that allows Nico Hischier to play with Hall once again and they can run two really good scoring lines out there.

The way Hall looked in this Twitter video suggests that all of this has a chance of happening. If he can stay healthy, Hall is a game-breaking offensive player who the Devils would love to have on their roster. His contract is going to be a major topic of conversation this season, but if they can get him signed he will be the face of the franchise for a long time.
