Pittsburgh Penguins

Any time a good sniping winger becomes available, the Pittsburgh Penguins have to be in the conversation. They are a team that looks like they can challenge for the Stanley Cup once again. They aren’t as deep as they were when they went back to back in 2016 and 2017 but they are pretty good again. They would love to go out and get one more depth winger for their playoff run.

They are going to be without Jake Guentzal for a while who was just having a banner season before his injury. Kyle Palmieri would be a great replacement for Guentzal in Pittsburgh. We also might see him reach a new level of goal-scoring success. Although Nico Hischier and Jack Hughes are awesome, Pittsburgh’s 1-2 punch is impeccable.

Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin are both still some of the best centers in the world. Especially Crosby, who came back from an injury with a vengeance recently. Both of these guys would get Palmieri the puck in high-danger chances that he didn’t know existed. They make all of their wingers better the second they get a crack at them. Palmieri would definitely benefit from a trade to Pittsburgh. It would be interesting to see what the Penguins would be willing to part with in order to add a winger but it sure would be interesting to see.
