Colorado Avalanche

Just like the first two teams suggested, the Colorado Avalanche have one of the very best players in the world on their team. Nathan MacKinnon has risen to the top of the league in short order and is so much fun to watch. The difference between him and the other four elite centers mentioned is the fact that MacKinnon has his two linemates set.

Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen on each side of MacKinnon form one of the best lines in the league. They are right there with Boston’s top line as the best in the league. Kyle Palmieri would be perfect for them on that second line with Nazem Kadri in the middle. That would provide them with tremendous depth at forward. Something they were desperately missing last season was consistent production from a line beside the MacKinnon line.

Well, they added Kadri over the summer so adding Palmieri right now would go a long way. He would also make the power play that much better too. They could use him on the second unit if they wanted to keep their top line out there on the top unit. They also have Cale Makar on the back end so if they wanted to have him feed Palmieri one time passes along with MacKinnon, Landeskog, and Rantanen, that would be very fun to watch.

None of these teams might even be thinking about Palmieri but it is just about describing which ones he would fit with the best. Obviously, a sniper like him would be fun to watch with some of the elite players in the league. From a pure entertainment factor, these three teams would be the most fun see make a trade for him. It will be interesting to see if any team in the league gives up what the Devils see as a fair package for him.
