Toronto Maple Leafs
The Toronto Maple Leafs have the potential to be one of the best teams in the entire National Hockey League. They have so many studs on their team, but the commitment to playing the game the right way just isn’t there. They score a lot of goals, but they give up a lot as well. They are driven by their skilled group of forwards, but when Frederik Andersen isn’t lights out, they struggle.
Travis Zajac would be a perfect fit for that team for that reason. He would say yes to them because he would slot in perfectly in the middle of that third line. They have Auston Matthews and John Tavares as their top two centers. If you add Zajac to that mix, this team has everything you need in your top-nine group of centers.
Zajac brings exactly what most of the Leafs’ forwards lack. A commitment to playing the game the right way. In addition to Tavares and Matthews, William Nylander and Mitch Marner are also there to round out their big four upfront. It is a very talented group all around but they just need someone to get in there and show them the right way. He would be a perfect fit and it would give him hope for a playoff run if he wanted another crack at the Cup.
