Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins are probably the most complete team in the National Hockey League. If they aren’t, it is close. Tuukka Rask is one of the best goalies in the league playing behind a defense with guys like Torey Krug, Zdeno Chara, Brandon Carlo, and Charlie McAvoy amongst others. Their forwards are led by Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak, and Brad Marchand, but there is some great depth there with guys like David Krejci, Charlie Coyle, and Jake DeBrusk.

Adding to that depth with Wayne Simmonds could be nice for the Bruins. They cut bait with David Backes within the last few weeks so Simmonds might be able to provide what they lack from not having Backes anymore. A good veteran player who is willing to do whatever it takes is hard to come by in the NHL. Simmonds has played against the Bruins a lot in his career so it wouldn’t be foreign territory anyway.

The Bruins are also capable of getting the most out of every player that dresses for them. They are a team that rolls four lines with no issue pretty much every night. Simmonds might not be needed every night but if the Bruins had an injury that made them want to acquire a forward, Simmonds might be a really good option for them.
