The New Jersey Devils are not having a good year but their AHL team in Binghamton has a legit chance to make it to the playoffs.

The New Jersey Devils have had a down season based on their expectations. With all of the additions they had made over the offseason led a lot of people to believe they will be good. Well, they didn’t get off to a good start and were never able to recover. There have been trades, a coach fired, and a general manager fired. With that said, there are a few reasons to believe in the future of this team.

One of those reasons is the Binghamton Devils. The AHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils has a lot of players that hope to play for the big club one day. There have been plenty of players that have been up and down from the NHL to the AHL this season. Binghamton being a successful franchise is extremely important to the Devils. Not everyone can be Nico Hischier, Jesper Bratt, or Jack Hughes and need absolutely no time in the minors.

Development is the key to success in hockey, and the AHL is the top development league in the world. If Binghamton is successful, that means there are going to be some players on the way that can make an impact someday. The Devils have made some trades and done okay drafting with a lot of the B-Devils being a product of that. This team got off to a slow start but have since been very good and gotten themselves back in the race. There are three good reasons for fans of the New Jersey Devils to pay attention to Binghamton:
