P.K. Subban is responding to the horrible actions we’ve seen as of late with positive actions.
There is no limit of amazing actions New Jersey Devils defenseman P.K. Subban is involved in. He pledged $10 million to a Montreal children’s hospital. He started the P.K. Subban Foundation back in 2014 when he was only in the NHL for four seasons. They’ve worked to help youth around North America who are put in bad situations. Then, he started the Blueline Buddies campaign in Nashville. There he tried to pair low-income youth with law enforcement to start that relationship early.
Nobody is going to question Subban’s philanthropic tendencies. No matter what we think about him on the ice, off the ice he’s one of the best players in any league. That’s why what he did Wednesday was not surprising. Subban could have said a really moving statement as part of the Black Lives Matter movement. He could have marched alongside those looking to end police brutality. Instead, he acted.

Subban acted in a big way, announcing he would be donating $50,000 to the Go Fund Me for George Floyd’s family. There is a major problem in this world right now and many people in the hockey world put out nice words showing their solidarity with the African American community. The actions of Subban are incredible, and we’re happy to have someone so philanthropic on our team.
Subban is usually known as the fun-loving offensive defenseman. Today, he proved just why this is just a small part of who he is, and we are proud to call him a member of this team.
