There are some former New Jersey Devils players to watch in the 2020 playoffs.

The New Jersey Devils are not a part of the 24-team return to play tournament. They just missed the Eastern Conference’s final spot, but now they are home for the summer and fall. They will be back whenever the 2020-21 season gets underway. It is less than fun to not have our team back for any games, but those are the cards we have been dealt here. It wasn’t a good year on the ice and that is why they didn’t receive an invite to the playoffs.

With that said, there are some other things to watch for in the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs. There are some draft picks that the Devils might be getting that depend heavily on the results of the playoffs. There are also some pending free agents that they might be looking at this year and this tournament will give them a great view of these guys.

There is also more of a reason to watch in terms of fun. You might be looking for a team besides the New Jersey Devils to root for here in the playoffs just to enjoy yourself. Well, there are plenty of former Devils players that are alive with their new teams ready to take a stab at the Stanley Cup.

The skill levels of these players vary so their impact on the playoffs may be big or small but they were our guys for a long time. All of the players on this list were great players for New Jersey for a long time. These are the six former Devils that you might enjoy keeping an eye on during the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs:
