Jack Quinn

The New Jersey Devils might not have the chance to draft Jack Quinn. He might be gone at any point in this draft and is one of the most unsure prospects available right now. If he is available when New Jersey comes on the clock at pick number 18, they should absolutely grab him. He would be a perfect fit on this Devils team if he reaches his true potential.

He is considered one of the best pure goal scorers in the draft. There is no doubt that the Devils have added a lot of young playmakers over the past few years who have a “pass first” mentality. If you started to pair those playmakers with a kid like Jack Quinn, you might see some magic start to develop. He would be great on any of the scoring lines the Devils try to create over the next few seasons.

Quinn currently plays for the Ottawa 67s of the OHL. He has two seasons under his belt there and absolutely exploded in the most recent one. In 62 games for them, he had 52 goals and 37 assists for 89 points. That is some pretty nice scoring for a kid who primarily shoots. A lot of people credit Marco Rossi for that success, and that might be partially true, but it’s not like he wouldn’t have playmakers like Rossi here in New Jersey. In fact, Jack Hughes is a great comparable to Rossi in terms of being a smaller playmaking center. If Quinn is on the board, New Jersey should really consider it.
