Get Someone Over 30 Goals

There aren’t too many statistical goals that the Devils can hit at this point, but there are a few players who could get close. Jesper Bratt is averaging a point per game. Jack Hughes is doing the same. There are some players who are having better offensive years than expected.

The Devils haven’t had a 30-goal scorer since Taylor Hall won the MVP. There were two shortened seasons since then, so the number is a little skewed, but nobody on the team the last two years was expected to hit 30 goals. This season, some of those offensive numbers are getting back to a more impressive threshold.

Right now, the Devils have four forwards with nine goals and Jesper Bratt has 10 goals. Hughes is one of the players with nine goals, and he only has 20 games played. He is on pace to score 29 goals. He is tops on the team in projected goals for the season despite missing 17 games.

Bratt has been very hot as of late, and he could also push for the 30-goal scoring mark. He’s only on pace for 23 goals, but he could turn some of those assists into goals pretty easily. There’s also the slim possibility someone comes out of the woodwork like Pavel Zacha or Andreas Johnsson who go on a scoring streak in the next few weeks. The Devils should push hard to get someone to 30 goals. It would be a nice mark to go into next season with.
