The New Jersey Devils are in a weird spot. They are in rumors to be adding NHL pieces to their roster despite being significantly out of the playoffs. The future is on the mind of this team as they prepare to take the next step over the next few years.

They enter the trade deadline with a different mindset than a lot of the bad teams in the league. They have young stars like Jack Hughes, Nico Hischier, and Jesper Bratt leading the way. If they solidify their goaltending, they could be a very dangerous team in the coming years.

As mentioned before, there have been a lot of different rumors that suggest that the Devils could be busy this week. One team that they seem to be connected to a lot is the Vancouver Canucks. That is a good team with good players but their cap issues are causing them a lot of trouble.

Vancouver could have some cap casualties that benefit the Devils in a lot of ways. There are some players there that could really help guys like Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier produce even more because of their talents.

The New Jersey Devils and Vancouver Canucks seem like perfect trade partners.

It is going to be very interesting to see who becomes available and who actually moves. These are three trades that the Devils and Canucks could make before the 2022 NHL Trade Deadline to help each other out:
